VRAN is a Canadian-based, not-for-profit educational society, founded by parents whose children have suffered vaccine reactions and injuries. It is our mission to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and to defend your right to make an informed and voluntary decision regarding vaccination.
The principle of "Informed Consent" is at the foundation of Canadian Medical Law; it grants every citizen the right to reject invasive medical procedures that may carry unacceptable risks—we believe vaccination is such a procedure. When considering vaccination, we urge you to base your decision on information rather than assumption; please complete your own research before subjecting your child and make a truly informed decision!

| Questions to ask yourself if considering vaccination for a child.... |
- Do I know whether or not the vaccine(s) I am considering is/are required by law and, if required, do I know the exemptions allowed and how to obtain them? (Note: NO VACCINATIONS ARE MANDATORY IN CANADA.)
- Do I know my rights concerning consent to vaccinations?
- Is my child unwell right now?
- Is my child receiving treatment that suppresses the immune system?
- Has my child recently been on antibiotics?
- Does my child have a history of allergies, atopy, or anaphylaxis?
- Does my child's family have a history of autoimmune disease?
- Does my child or members of his family have a history of bad reactions to vaccination, eg:
- convulsions or neurological disorders
- sleep apnoea, ie: breathing stops while sleeping
- severe allergies
- asthma
- arthritic conditions
- other immune system disorders?
- Do I have any other reason to think my child might be at "high risk" for a vaccine reaction?
- Am I completely informed about all possible side effects of the vaccines?
- Would I recognize an adverse reaction if I saw one?
- Do I know where and how to report a vaccine reaction?
- Do I know the manufacturer's name, the product name and the lot number of the vaccine(s)?
